Nash Tradeshow 2013 - Part One

Nash Tradeshow 2013 -  Part One Nash Tradeshow 2013 – Part One Nash Tradeshow 2013 – Part Two Nash Tradeshow 2013 – Part Three Nash Tradeshow 2013 – Part Four

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the Nash Tackle 2013 tradeshow, which was hosted at their premises in Essex.

First of all I must say what a fantastic venue and what a great bunch of lads, they couldn’t do enough for us and were very accommodating from start to finish, regularly supplying us with coffee and even some lunch! For me it was great to meet and chat with Kevin himself and his right hand man Alan Blair, both were incredibly busy, but still found time to come and see us.

On the new tackle front, I think it’s a case of… ‘They’ve done it again’, as all the new products we saw, were excellent additions to the, already extensive Nash range. Nothing has been created ‘just for the sake of it’ and everything had been thoroughly thought out and developed. Everything had a purpose and a point.

Even though some of the new items aren’t going to be available for a few months we were still able to grab some information and some sneaky pictures of them! Some of which I’m able to share with you now, as I know all Carp anglers will be chomping at the bit, to see what’s on offer.

I’ll start with the first item we viewed and that is the brand new…

Nash Big D Double Top

This is an absolute monster of a bivvy, it’s that big you can actually stand up inside it, as you’ll see from the pictures! Now even though for many anglers it won’t be necessary, for some it will. For those anglers who fish extra long sessions or for those who regularly travel to fish in Europe, then this could be the bivvy for you! As you’ll see from the pictures it offers lots of space, will easily accommodate two bedchairs, tackle and all other accessories. It also features a mesh panel at the back to aid airflow on those real hot European (or even British, if we’re lucky enough) summer days. Here’s a few pictures of the monster in question…

Likes Features a very impressive design and will be superb for anglers who fish long sessions.

Dislikes For what its designed for it’s perfect and it’s really hard to pick a fault!

Nash Titan Globetrotter

Another new bivvy/shelter has also been released for 2013/14 and this has been named the Nash Titan Globetrotter. This bivvy has also been designed for those anglers who fish in Europe regularly, but also has stacks of features that would make it suitable for anglers in the UK.

First of all the real special feature of this is bivvy is that the inner shell is made completely from mosquito mesh. This means that on real warm dry days, it will be the coolest bivvy on the market, it also means it’s incredibly light, as there’s less material used.  One question you’ll probably be asking is, ‘what if it rains?’ Well, simple, as the Nash Titan Globetrotter comes supplied with an overwrap/second skin.

You’ll see what I mean from the pictures below.

This bivvy also comes complete with a sewn in groundsheet, meaning you can be completely locked away from any bank side pests, including mosquito’s, rats, creepy crawlies, snakes and even that annoying angler next door!

One idea that I really liked with this product, that is a problem will normal twin skin bivvies, is that it will completely eliminate condensation, as the micro mesh will allow airflow easily.

All in all a very impressive product that I think will suit lots and lots of anglers both in the UK and in Europe.

Available in both one man and two man models.

Likes Lightweight, cool on hot days, no condensation, supplied with overwrap. Keeps all bank side pests away!

Dislikes

The downside, if you don’t use the overwrap, is that everyone can see what you are doing, so just bare that in mind! I know it can be lonely, fishing with three nights without the wife! ;-)

Nash Deliverance Throwing Sticks & Spoons

Deliverance is a relatively new name amongst the Nash stable, but it’s already proving itself to be a winner. For 2013 a pair of new throwing sticks and a range of bait spoons have been developed under this name.

First of all the throwing sticks, these are available in two sizes, a large 20mm model, which has been designed to accommodate all bait sizes and a shorter model, which again will also accommodate all bait sizes. We were told that in the vigorous testing process, both models sent baits from 12mm to 20mm over 100 yards!

Now even though in reality a throwing stick is a throwing stick, but these have a few nice features that put them at the top of the pile. First of all they have been manufactured from super tough plastic, the handle has also been re-inforced and a cool deliverance lanyard has been fitted to each model. Of course with all these extra features you’d expect them to sell for slightly more than other competitors on the market… well this is where you’d be wrong! As they actually sell for a few pounds cheaper than the competitors!

Moving onto the range of baiting spoons, these have once again been manufactured to the highest quality, produced from extremely tough plastic, fitted with a super comfy handle and finished with another stylish Deliverance lanyard.

With different sized spoons and handles available in the range, there should be something to suit the needs of all anglers.

Nash Deliverance Throwing Sticks

Likes There look extremely tough and the lanyard is a nice touch. The fact they are cheaper than other throwing sticks in the market, is also a massive plus!

Dislikes In all honesty I’d really struggle to fault them!

Nash Deliverance Bait Spoons

Likes Once again the quality is second to none and once again the lanyard is a nice touch.

Dislikes You cannot buy the heads separately, as the spoon and handle is just sold as one unit.
