JRC Contact Camo Bivvy
The JRC Contact Camo Bivvy is the latest product in JRC’s impressive Contact range and it is manufactured to the high standard that you will have come to expect from the brand. The bivvy is built around a simple two-rib setup, which ensures that you don’t have to waste time on the bank wrestling with your bivvy and is a god send on damp days when you want to get set up as quickly as possible before the rain really sets in. This twin rib structure also means that you can enjoy maximised internal space whilst still maintaining the bivvies small external footprint. Even with the one man bivvy you never feel hemmed in and this bivvy is as ideal for a mid-length session as it is a quick overnighter. These ribs have been manufactured from high quality aluminium, so they are incredibly strong and durable whilst also being fantastically lightweight.
The JRC Contact Camo Bivvy is constructed from ultra-strong 210 denier oxford nylon which boasts a hydrostatic head rating of 5,000. This ensures that it is fully waterproof, so you never have to worry about being caught out by an unexpected bankside shower. What’s more, to further increase its wet-weather resistance, it has also been PU coated. This ensures that the fabric is not only waterproof but it is also lightweight and flexible, too. The seams of the bivvy are both double sealed and taped. This might sound like an extreme measure to take but you will be thanking the JRC design team when you’re stuck out in the heaviest of downpours. Seams are often the weak points on bivvies as the stitching creates lots of tiny holes in the fabric but tape sealing them ensures that the weakest part of most bivvies is one of the strongest parts of the Contact Camo. As the name suggests, the outer-skin of the bivvy is finished in a camouflage pattern, ensuring that it will look great in any carp fishing environment, too, and it will perfectly complement any of your existing JRC luggage.
The JRC Contact Camo Bivvy has a reinforced tension bar, to ensure its structure integrity in high winds and heavy rainfall, and has the option of a mosquito mesh front door, to allow air to flow through the bivvy in warm or muggy conditions. This ensures that this bivvy is the ultimate year round angling companion and it is as ideal to use on the continent as it is in the UK. It comes supplied with a fully detachable heavy duty ground sheet. This is ideal for use on those famously grim autumnal nights as it really helps to keep the cold and damp out of your bivvy. It is also excellent to use when you show up on a swim after heavy rainfall, as it gives you somewhere dry to store all your luggage. You can also use the bivvy without the groundsheet, if you want to decrease your setup time and the amount of gear you need t carry in the warmer months or for shorter sessions. Heavy duty pegs hold the bivvy in place in windy conditions, too, and are as essential as the tension bar in maintaining the structure of the bivvy. It comes supplied in its own carry bag, for ease of transportation, too.
The JRC Contact Camo Bivvy is available in one man or two man sizes. Whether you’re a solo angler who likes the additional space a two many bivvy gives you, you’re someone who likes to be as compact as possible on the bank, or you enjoy fishing with a friends, there is a JRC Contact Camo Bivvy for you.
