Advanta X5 Silver Drift,
Identical body shape to the X5 Carp Drift but with a thinner carbon stem and more sensitive fibreglass tip. As the name suggests, this design comes into its own when targeting silver fish and F1s, using small to medium sized baits and more refi ned tackle. The body-up shape works really well in surface drift and slow to medium flow rates, and situations where the tackle needs to be edged through on a tight line. X5 Silver Drift floats work well with whip tackle too, fished to hand style. Performs best with slightly strung bulks or an olivette main weight, using two or three small micro shot spread out evenly between the bulk and the hook. The sensitive fibreglass tip is translucent and shows up well, even in tricky light conditions, while the low resistance matt body finish doesnt ride up unnaturally in surface tension. A top float to use with natural baits or small pellets.

Advanta X5 pole floats offer a great selection of practical body shapes and stem materials, with a choice of sensitive fibre tipped models, or larger diameter hollow plastic tipped versions. This means you can uniquely use the same float shape, whether targeting silver fish or carp. The silver fish models have standard side eyes, set in their bodies, so as not to interfere with their super sensitive fibreglass bristles. All carp designs in the range have coiled wire eyes set at the base of their hollow plastic tips, to avoid any chances of body damage.
