Enter The Abyss. We check out the underwater camera that has been causing quite a stir.

The Water Wolf is a high-definition underwater video camera that will revolutionise people’s fishing and reveal just what’s going on beneath the surface. The camera has been designed and developed in Denmark over a period of three years, and it’s been thoroughly tested by fishing professionals in the US, Australia and Europe.

With three international patents secured, the Water Wolf underwater camera is a radical innovation that coincides perfectly with the growing focus on making films while fishing.

It’s been constructed to be mounted on your fishing line – right in front of or above your lure or bait – so you catch all your strikes on film, as well as the near misses, follows and whatever else is going on.

The camera is a mere 11 centimetres long and 3.5 centimetres in diameter. It’s been perfectly balanced and fine-tuned for wobble-free and stable recording, especially in front of lures.

It features a ¼in one-megapixel CMOS sensor and films in 1280x720p HD, 30FPS, H.264 MOV-format.

The Wcamera comes supplied with line tubes, floats and brass weights and can be mounted in three different ways – for trolling, casting and retrieving or float fishing. Actually, the possibilities are almost endless, whether you want to film from below or above, watch fish striking or do bottom and habitat surveys.

For carp fishermen, the Water Wolf camera is interesting because it can be used as a pre-baiting-spot surveyor, as a float fishing top-view camera and for bottom exploration. Anything that’s not known about the real behaviour of feeding carp can now be revealed thanks to the Water Wolf camera.

In fact, a lot has already been discovered since ProLogic consultants tested the camera in several different carp venues across Europe.
