Where is the Store Located?
Located on Church Street, Angling Direct Preston can be found by turning off from the A59 and is adjacent to the HMP Preston. The store boasts a large car park to the left with easy wheelchair access and customer toilets.
Local fishing venues include the River Ribble which is right on AD Preston’s doorstep. This stretch of the river caters for both the river and fly specialists. Wilmslow also has numerous commercial venues including Whitmore Fisheries, The Catteries and Bannister Farm towards Southport. For the specimen Carp Anglers, there is Horns Dam, Cockerham Quarry and parts of the Wyreside lakes complex near Lancaster.
What Services does AD Preston Provide?
AD Preston has dedicated sections for carp, match, river and sea fishing. The tackle shop also stocks bait for all styles of fishing, from frozen and shelf life boilies to particles, and a massive range of match and river groundbait. The fishing product displays include full carp setups from rods and reels to bivvies, tackle boxes, trollies and chairs. There are also have a collection of fly rods and flies.
All staff members at AD Preston are frequent anglers who spend a lot of time at the water testing new products. The store has dedicated specialists for both carp and match fishing.

Dan is an Angling Coach who has fishing experience in targeting carp and barbel. His specialist fishing skillset can help you target these amazing species of fish, especially around the Preston area.

Angling Direct Preston has another Dan, that is a qualified Level 2 Angling Coach. This Dan has over 25 years of angling experience and enjoys targeting carp, barbel, and general coarse fish species.
Dan is a former lecturer in Fisheries Management so you can trust he has a wealth of fish-related knowledge. Dan has experience in many angling disciplines with his specialist areas being specimen carp and barbel fishing. Dan also has a general coarse angling knowledge so he can share techniques for both Stillwater and river environments.
