RidgeMonkey has taken the fishing industry by storm since its inception in 2014, the innovative brand has built a reputation for itself by providing a small range of high impact products that, in some cases, have changed the face of angling.

The company have become synonymous with gear that improves your comfort on the bank; stoves, toasters, melamine crockery, the brand even found the time to redefine throwing stick design and performance.

Despite being a comparatively young company, RidgeMonkey have amassed a wealth of experience, alongside Dave Levy and Jay Cater is Max Cottis, previously responsible for product development at Fox for eighteen years, Max is an expert in terminal tackle.

With such a vast knowledge on the subject, it’s hardly a surprise that RidgeMonkey’s newest venture into the terminal tackle market has been a huge success. Having provided high-quality end tackle to the scene for just over a year now, it was RidgeMonkey’s hook range that created the initial buzz among carp anglers.

Hooks:

The hook range is presented in smart, space saving, flip lid trays, each containing 10 hooks. The hooks themselves are razor sharp and will ensure you get your fish from bite to bank. All hooks are coated in RidgeMonkey’s unique RM-Tec GunMetal coating and are available in both barbed and barbless variants, to allow for venue compliance.

There are four hook styles available in the range, the first of which is the RM Curved Shank. Offered in sizes; 2, 4, 6, and 8 the curved shank is perfect for targeting specimen carp on a KD-style rig.

RidgeMonkey Straight Point Hooks are a great all-rounder, available in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8 and are the textbook hook for fishing close to snags or over heavy weed.

Next up, RM Chod Hooks, again available in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8 and features a 25-degree upturned eye, making them ideal for stiff hooklink rigs.

Finally, the Beaked Point Hooks featuring a straight shank and downturned eye, again available in the aforementioned sizes.

Line:

The RidgeMonkey Terminal Tackle range offers huge variety in terms of line, available in numerous colours and strengths, giving you flexibility when it comes to your end tackle. You can opt to keep things simple with RM Mono, a great all-rounder for almost any fishing situation and being supplied in immense 1200 metre spools its cost effective too. Available in clear, brown and green and sold in 12lb 0.35mm, 15lb 0.38mm and 18lb 0.42mm increments, there is a sinking monofilament mainline to suit any venue.

The RM-Tec Terminal Tackle range also offers sinking fluorocarbon mainline, ideal for fishing heavily pressured waters, the high-density line allows you to hug the contours of the lake bed and provides a perfect middle ground between weight and cast ability. Available in 1000 metre spools of clear 15lb 0.33mm and 20lb 0.37mm line.

The final mainline in the range is RM-Tec Braided Mainline, sold in 20lb 0.28mm and 30lb 0.35mm increments, perfect for fishing at distance in snaggy situations due to its high abrasion resistance and near-zero stretch.

The RM-Tec range also offers various types of leader, Braided Shock Leader is ultra-strong and will reduce the chances of crack off and will assist with your casting distance, the braid absolutely flies through the rings on cast. The other leader variant is extra supple Lead-Free Leader, ideal for venues where the use of lead core is restricted, the spliceable woven braid has a low-vis finish and is available in Weed Green, Camo and Organic Brown. Both leader lines are sold in 50lb breaking strain.

Finally, RM-Tec hooklinks, starting with the more traditional Flourocarbon Hooklink available in 15lb and 20lb variations, the near invisible high-density hooklink will remain pinned to the lake bed. Both Stiff Coated and Soft Coated hooklinks are also available in 25lb and 35lb breaking strain line and you have a choice of Weed Green, Camo and Organic Brown colours. Both hooklinks have anti-tangle qualities and are perfect for use with buoyant baits fished on a clean, hard bottom.

Terminal Tackle:

With the presentation of bait being of paramount importance the variety of terminal tackle on offer in the RidgeMonkey range will only enhance your fishing experience further.
