Constructed with High-Performance Carbon Technology, the Defy collection of 10ft rods boasts Japanese pre-preg Toray Carbon fibres for a powerful, strong and robust blank that are super for when tackling larger bodies of water from a boat. With a distinctive reverse-carbon outer, the Defy rods offer something different to the aesthetics anglers are used to and what most are quite bored of!
The 10ft length is perfect for a multitude of angling situations, whether you are specialist fishing from the bank in close quarters where casting space is limited, or from your fishing boat where a longer rod can be cumbersome and awkward.
Boat fishing benefits from a shorter, more compact rod such as this 10-footer for when lowering rigs onto spots. The shorter length is also great if you’re simply fishing on a smaller venue as the shorter rod puts you in greater control. The middle-to-tip action of the Defy rods is perfect for all-round use at the bank and gives the extra benefit of taking up significantly less room during transit.
Boasting a Fuji DPS reel seat, the rod fits a variety of reels and is finished with a gunsmoke black hood which matches the guides, collars and butt cap. The guides are low friction Zirconia with an anti-frap ring to give you assured confidence when committing to each and every bold cast. The butt ring is 50mm to allow for more control and precision.
The rod is available in two test curves: 3.5lb and 3lb. The 3.5lb TC version of the Defy has a stiffer through-action that puts you in control of the fight with a stubborn carp, while the lighter 3lb test curve has a more forgiving action, lending itself perfectly for playing powerful fish at close range.
The Trakker Defy rod is lastly finished off with discreet and understated cosmetics to remains stylish for the modern angler.
