Chub Fishing On The River Wensum

Chub Fishing On The River Wensum

For this session we took the camera's down after work, to to our local river Wensum, with the aim of targeting some of the big resident Chub. With conditions warm and sunny and with the river relatively low and clear we opted to fish a roving approach.

We started the session by walking the stretch and baiting a few likely looking area’s, with a good handful of pellets and boilies. Once we had walked the whole length of the river we went back to where we had started and made the first cast.

Fishing a very simple running ledger set-up, with a small PVA bag for added attraction, we planned to give each swim around 20-30 minutes, as if there was any Chub in the area we expected the action to be quick!

Were we right…? Well you can see exactly how our session unfolded in the video below! To watch in HD simply click the little cog in the YouTube player and select 720p or 1080p.
