Fished here several times a year for about 10 years. Had my first carp over 10lb here and several up to 18lb. Some really good crucians and a few tench. Very glad its now open as came up to norfolk last week and it looked closed. Cant wait to come back now its reopened.

Good stuff Paul! Yeah pop back down and have a fish and let us know how you get on, we'd love to see some pictures and catch reports. I've not fished it yet myself, but I've heard the guys say there's some lovely Crucians and big Roach, as well as the Carp. Hopefully I'll get down there soon! Good luck and of course tight lines! :-)

A friend and I fished this place religiously every week a few years back. Some sessions topping 30 carp in 48 hours. Biggest being 21lb.

My main concern is whether 20lb plus fish are still in the lake as I know they had a problem with poaching?

Great runs water if you know how :)

I use to fish this lake weekly with amazing result . When doing 24 hour session I was averaging mid 30s in the amount of fish caught using big fish baits my biggest catch out of the lake is 19 lb caught last summer on a quick overnigher
