Daiwa Prorex Spinning Rod
The Daiwa Prorex predator fishing tackle range presents up-to-date rod technologies in a price range that is hard to beat. The Daiwa Prorex Spinning Rod is no exception and comes in a wide range of specification choices, one of which is bound to complement your particular predator angling situation.
This rod’s ‘high volume’ carbon fibre blanks are the source of much of its sensitivity and power. This is because it uses larger-than-usual carbon fibres in a special hexagonal arrangement to improve blank compression and recovery during the cast. This holds true regardless of the direction of movement, providing consistent transmission of power. The usual method of arranging carbon fibre layers has been enhanced by the addition of X45 technology – the layers are arranged with, against, and at 45° to the axis of the blank for maximum torque. The overall result for the angler is increased precision and power when casting heavy terminal tackle, including lures.
The light weight of the blanks is complimented by a strong but slim V-Joint between the blank and the spigot, which not only reduces weight but provides for a fluent bending curve, too. You’ll be given a better sense of activity under the water’s surface by means of a Fuji reel seat that keeps your hand in close contact with the rod and the vibrations that travel up it. Top it all off with hard-wearing titanium oxide guide centres for working with braided line and you have a strong, light, and long-lasting spinning rod that can be paired very well with a Prorex spinning reel.
