JRC Contact Wrap for 2 Man Bivvy
Constructed for the JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy, this overwrap is the ideal solution for those anglers looking to fish in extreme hot or cold conditions. Manufactured from strong 210D Oxford nylon with a 5000 HH PU-coating, this bivvy wrap is completely waterproof and wind resistant – perfect for when the Great British weather takes a turn for the miserable, or for those anglers who like to fish abroad in more extreme weather conditions. Double sealed taped seams also help ensure that this bivvy wrap remains completely waterproof in even the most torrential of downpours and heavy duty pegging points and pegs (supplied) will make sure that no matter how much the wind picks up your bivvy wrap will remain attached to ground around your bivvy.
What many anglers do not realise, however, is that a bivvy wrap not only keeps you warmer and drier in the winter but it can also keep you cooler in the summer. This is because adding an additional layer around the outside of the bivvy adds an additional layer that the sun then has to penetrate before it can start warming the air particles inside the bivvy itself. In this way, a good quality overwrap can work to reduce the ‘oven’ effect – the hot and stuffy tent air that occurs when you’ve left your bivvy erected under the sun for hours on end.
Not only is the Contact ideal for keeping you temperate, but it is also perfect for the angler who requires a little extra space. If both you and a friend find that sharing a two man bivvy doesn’t leave you with enough room to store your luggage and other tackle necessities, this overwrap provides you with extra storage space for your tackle box or any other bit of kit you want to keep in the dry.
This Contact Wrap is also supplied with its own carry bag. This means you need not worry about having to try and stuff your overwrap into the main bivvy bag, enabling you to easily and practically transport your bivvy down to the bank when you need it the most. You could even store this overwrap in the boot of your car, so it is always there if the weather takes an unexpected turn. After all, the only thing predictable about the Great British weather is how unpredictable it is.
