In the years since the original was released, the Matrix team has been hard at work making developments and adjustments in order to improve the design and usefulness of the pots. Luckily, all this hard work has paid off and these new Matrix Toss Pots are leaps and bounds ahead of the original – both in design and application. If you’re an avid pole angler then these little pots need to be part of your pole fishing armoury.
The Matrix Toss Pot is ideal for all kinds of pole fishing, ensuring that, no matter the conditions or your angling style, you’re always able to keep your fish feeding around your peg. There are two different size sets of pot available. The first set is has micro/midi pots, which have been designed with winter fishing in mind. These pots are 22mm (micro) and 30mm (midi) in diameter, ensuring that you are never at risk of over feeding your fish in the colder seasons. The second set is has medium/large pots. These have been designed with year round fishing in mind, when you want to keep your fish feeding little and often. The medium and large pots have the same diameter but the large pot is significantly deeper than the medium, to allow you to deliver more freebie bait into your swim in one go.
All of the pots in the range have three differently sized grooves in their base. This is to ensure that they are able to be attached to all poles and top two kits, so you get the perfect fit without damaging your pole. The micro/midi pots have 4mm/6mm maximum grooves and the medium/large have 4.8mm and 6.4mm groves. This is because Matrix knows that not all pole designs have the same diameter top kits, so this ensures that it will always fit your pole. The brand is also aware that you might like to modify your gear, so this ensures that you’ll still have a cupping kit that fits your modified pole.
All of the Toss Pots have been fitted with anti-spill lids and they also come with two other interchangeable top options. These ensure that you can modify the rate at which your bait is distributed into your swim and each of the top has a different aperture to release different quantities of bait. All of the tops in the range are a vivid orange in colour. This is because Matrix understands that it is sometimes difficult to ascertain the exact location of your cupping kit on your pole, particularly when you’re fishing at distance and you want to make sure that you’re distributing your bait accurately. The bright orange top on the Matrix Toss Pot ensures that you’re able to tell precisely which way up your pot is pointing, allowing you to distribute the perfect amount of bait with pinpoint accuracy.
