Description

Muck Boots Chore Classic Hi

Life on the bank is always going to involve a little bit of water and, whether it is due to the heavens opening unexpectedly or due to a quick dash into the shallows to help land a catch, as anglers we can all expect to get our feet wet from time to time. However, with the appropriate angling footwear you need not be tentative about entering the water and you’ll never have to pack up early due to inclement weather. After all, there really is nothing quite as uncomfortable as being sat out in the pouring rain, feeling the water soaking through your socks. This is where a pair of quality boots really comes in and no boots are quite like the Muck Boots Chore Classic Hi.

The Chore Classic Boots look exactly as you would expect a traditional wellington boot to look. However, their performance far exceeds anything that you would expect from a classic boot and they really are the superior player in the angling boot world. First things first, it goes without saying that these boots are 100% waterproof. This is thanks to their natural rubber lower and full neoprene upper – ensuring that there are no weak points in the boot which could cause any kind of leakage. This combination of fabrics does much more than just ensure the complete water resistance of these boots, though. The lower half of the boot is coated in a natural rubber overlay. This reinforces this section of the boot, affording your foot some protection should you happen to drop anything and also ensuring that the boot is easy to clean. The latter point is essential, especially if you are used to spending weekends where the bank looks similar to the fields of Glastonbury. The upper section of the boot is left as uncoated neoprene. Not only is this an extremely waterproof material but it also offers a level a suppleness which traditional rubber boots cannot. This makes wearing these boots for extended periods of time exceptionally comfortable and you won’t experience any chafing on the calves as you might with traditional boots.

Both the toe and the heel of the Chore Classic Hi have been reinforced. This is because Muck Boots understands that these are the areas of the boot which are most likely to experience wear and tear, so this reinforcement ensures that you never have to worry about leakages. The sole of the boot is similarly durable and it has been designed to offer you superb grip. This means that you can stride out in confidence when you’re barrowing down to your swim, without worrying that you’re going to slip in the soft terrain, as well as ensuring that you can stand your ground whilst you’re landing an aggressive or hard fighting carp.

Not only are these boots heavy duty but they are also supremely comfortable. Firstly, the boots have been fitted with a steel shank. This supports the arch of the foot, ensuring that your posture is supported when wearing these boots for a prolonged period of time. Additionally, the inner lining of the boots has been manufactured from a breathable, airmesh material. Nothing is more unpleasant than feeling your socks soak through with sweat whilst you’re sat or stood at the bank and the lining of these boots has been designed to prevent this. Allowing your feet to breathe also prevents the build up of any bacteria or microorganisms which could lead to smelly feet – or worse, a fungal foot infection. Wearing these Muck Boots ensures that your feet stay dry and comfortable from the inside as well as from the elements.
