Built with the technical angler who demands more from their tackle in mind, the Penn Conflict is a spinning reel that offers a huge range of versatility across the fresh water and saltwater fishing disciplines. Ideal for in shore fishing, deep sea fishing, and saltwater spinning, this reel can also be used to great effect fresh water spinning, as well as turning its hand as a fixed spool carp reel or for continental catfishing.
The Conflict has an aluminium body and side plate construction. This ensures that all the vital internal components are held rigidly in place – even under the pressure of fighting an aggressive opponent. The rotor has been technologically balanced to ensure you are able to retrieve smoothly time after time, making pulling in big lures and live baits comfortable. The rotor itself has been infused with high strength carbon, ensuring that you’re able to tackle the largest fish you like with full confidence. The smooth running high strength rotor also complement the HT-100 drag. Constructed from carbon fibre these drag washers ensure that the drag system is every bit as strong and smooth running as the rotor is. These, combined with the seven plus one bearing system, make fish playing an extremely enjoyable experience.
The superline spool on the Conflict has been fitted with line capacity rings. These allow you to accurately know how much line you have left on your spool at a glance – essential when you’re playing a big fish that doesn’t want to listen to the power of your pull. To prevent this from happening, however, this reel is also fitted with infinite anti-reverse. Infinite anti-reverse helps ensure you have solid hooksets each time, the result of which is more landed catches. Weighing between 222g (in the smallest 1000 size) and 340g (in the largest 4000 size) this reel is a pleasure to balance.
