This is one striking reel, finished in black with a stunning silver spool. At first glance you would be forgiven for missing the red accents on the spool and reel cover shield, subtle as they are. This flash of colour gives the reel a delicate edge that sets it apart from the rest. The twilight handle is the perfect mid-colour between black and silver to tie this whole reel together. All in all, this is a stunning outfit whose appearance sets performance expectations sky high.
As you might expect from a custom Daiwa reel, these expectations are not only met but exceeded. With adjustable Quick Drag, AirBail, and Twistbuster technologies fitted as standard, this reel has all the features you have grown to demand from a high performance piece. The handle is inspired by the revolutionary Basiair reel and is fitted with an ergonomically designed i-shaped knob for ease of use. The Tournament Basia DCR2 comes fitted with a HIP line clip – Daiwa’s patented design that is also spring loaded to absorb shock. This works in tandem with the subtle black line clip collar, which reduces friction thanks to its POM construction.
A combination of the Tournament Basia DCR2’s dazzling appearance and its imposing credentials might fool you into thinking that this reel costs the earth. This isn’t the case, however, as we are able to offer you impressive savings on this world class reel – a deal even the most fair-weather of anglers would struggle to refuse!
Reel Body – Matt Black
The magnesium alloy body and the rotor form the foundation of your reels look. Try out both as you can adjust your design at any time.
Spool – Silver + Red Dots
With a 45mm stroke the long distance casting Basia delivers a distinct profile. The choice of spools offers some fabulous machined touches to set off your reels look.
Line Clip Collar - Black
Almost hidden from view the line clip collar, made from durable Polyacetal (POM), is highly resistant to friction but performs an important cushioning on braids and lines when ‘hitting the clip’.
HIP Line Clip – Black without holes
HIP stands for High Impact Protection. The clip is spring loaded to allow easy line entry and added shock absorbance.
Drag Knob - Black + Dark Dots
The QD drag knob offers three contact points allowing for fingertip adjustment and fine tuning of the Quick Drag function.
Bail Assembly – Black + Black Holder
Featuring the seamless AirBail and original Twistbuster, your colour choice also changes the arm and opposite holder.
Handle Assembly – Twilight (Basia Style)
Each handle assembly is machine cut aluminium with a high quality colour finish. The ‘wishbone’ version, originally from the Basiair is highly favoured.
Handle Knob – I-shape Black
The classic wooden version comes fixed to the black Basia handle however three remaining options are compatible with the other handle assembly’s.
Handle Knob Cap
Available for the T shape soft touch and EVA knobs. These caps allow you to fine tune the final look of the handle. Please also note that no Knob Cap selection is available for the wooden handle combination.
Handle Screw - Black
Designed to protect and give access to the handle locking screw. Three choices let you ‘coordinate’ or ‘stand out’ your reels look.
Rear Cover Shield - Red
Sealing between the rear cover and body this shield also provides a classy accent of red or a less noticeable black.

Return of goods & Refunds
Any incorrect or damaged goods must be reported within 5 days of receipt. These will be replaced as soon as possible at no expense to yourself. All unwanted items must be either returned at your own expense or taken into your local Angling Direct store.
