After many months of hard work, precision testing, and lots of battling with breakthroughs, the Daiwa Basia DF Carp was born – and what a rod it is!
With six models available across a variety of test curves and rod lengths, there is a Daiwa Basia DF Carp Rod out there for every carp fishing scenario as anglers can select of the custom-built carp rods to fit their needs. However, no matter the rod length or curve they all operate on the same fantastic blank technology that sets this rod series head and shoulders above the rest. For countless years the Magnum Taper has been the rod profile to mimic but when designing a brand new Basia rod Daiwa and Danny knew that they couldn’t simply resort to copying tried and tested success – they had to better it! This rod blank is completely unique. Built around a high modulus low resin core, it is the Bias Carbon outer layers that really set a new benchmark in rod blank design. Bias ensures that this rod has a significantly higher resistance to torque than any other on the market and it contributes to the straight-line action and speedy recovery of the rod on each cast. The marriage of Bias Carbon outer and high modulus low resin carbon fibre inner ensures that this rod is able to comfortably harness additional potential energy which, when released through the cast, gives you high powered action for extreme carping.
Daiwa Basia rods are fitted with 50mm butt guides and a profiled NS handle. This rod benefits from the same custom furnishings that you will have grown to demand from a Daiwa rod.
