To help wind those fish in, the Daiwa Procaster X Fast Drag boasts a 5.2:1 gear ratio. This ensures that you’re able to access a huge amount of cranking power when you need it the most, in order to tackle those hardest of fighting fish. With Infinite Anti-Reverse you’re assured of solid hooksets with no slap back and rearward backplay is all but eliminated.
The Procatser X is supplied with an aluminium ABS spool. ABS is Daiwa’s patented tapered spool design, which works to let the line from the spool in large coils – significantly reducing the risk of wrap-arounds and increasing the distance you are able to achieve on the cast. Air Bail is Daiwa’s patented hollow tubular bail arm design. Smooth and free from protrusions, this bail arm ensures that even loose line can slot back onto the line roller with ease. This line roller is fitted with Twist Buster technology – a feature which not only eliminates the risk of line twist, even when using a thing mono or a braid, but also significantly reduces the friction on the line.
With seven ball bearings in the inner mechanisms of the reel, as well as one roller bearing, the Procaster X Fast Drag reel is a smooth operator, too.
