Offering unmatched versatility, the Fox Flatliter MK2 Bed & Bag System comes in two sizes – the Standard and the Compact. The Standard maintains the MK1's dimensions (214cm long by 87cm wide, minimum height 40cm, maximum height 50cm). The Compact, on the other hand, is an excellent response to anglers' demands for a more diminutive option perfect for short sessions under small shelters (200cm long by 80cm wide, maximum height 45cm, minimum height 35cm). Weighing just 13.3kg for the Standard and 12.6kg for the Compact, each including the sleeping bag, you'll find both models a breeze to handle and transport.
At the heart of the MK2's upgrade lies its sleeping bag. Thoughtfully redesigned with an enhanced hollow fill, the bag provides unparalleled warmth, suppleness, and the ability to mould around your body – just like your home comforter. To augment your comfort further, we have fitted the top half of the bag with a fleece lining that boosts warmth and feels ultra-soft against your body and face. With the bottom half remaining polyester, this innovative design ensures you won't stick to the bag when shifting during your slumber.
Moreover, the sleeping bag comes with a generously sized, padded internal zip baffle, adept at keeping the warmth in and the cold out, making it a suitable 3-season companion. Also, the bag now attaches to the bed's mattress size by zips, a modification resulting from user feedback about feeling too restricted in the previous model. This new arrangement provides greater elasticity in the bag, affording more usable space inside.
One standout feature of the MK2 is the bed's upgraded mattress. With a firmer, high-density foam, it takes the comfort quotient up a few notches, making it a pleasure to lie on. Like the original Flatliter, the MK2 has a flat frame, replicating your home bed's design for the best possible sleeping experience.
Practicality is not compromised, as the MK2 boasts dual hinges that allow the bed to fold with the sleeping bag still attached. Thanks to the new tension strap design (straps on both sides going around the frame rather than over the mattress), folding the bed is easier and more compact than ever before.
Additional features carried over from the original Flatliter include single legs at both ends for stability while minimising weight and a lumbar support to prevent mattress sagging. The Twist-Lok leg adjustment and mud feet with pegging holes guarantee a stable setup on uneven ground, while the heavy-duty dual crash zips ensure durability and ease of use.
