Nash Scope Black Ops 1 Rod Skin
Whether you’re an angler who likes to stalk or rove through the foliage on the bank or you’re simply someone who understands the benefits of bankside mobility, you’ll know how important it is to own a compact protective case for your rods. Whilst huge rod holdalls might be the firm favourite among the long session carper, for the rest of us a lightweight and compact alternative is much preferred. This is where the Nash Scope Black Ops One Rod Skin comes into play. This is a protective skin which has been designed on the Nash Scope Black Ops concept – a range which has already been redefining carp fishing.
The Scope Black Ops concept is a new way of looking at carp fishing tackle. Whilst the norm in recent years has been to focus on bunking down in one swim for two or three nights, the Scope Black Ops range strips angling back to short day sessions and quick overnighters – where mobility is key. This is why you’ll only ever find lightweight and highly transportable tackle in the Scope Black Ops range. Everything from the Scope Black Ops rods to the Scope Black Ops luggage has been designed with mobility in mind. This rod sleeve is no different.
Designed for use with the Nash Scope Black Ops Carp Rod, this sleeve is available in two lengths. The 9ft skin has been manufactured for use with the 9ft rod and, as you might expect, the 10ft skin has been designed with the 10ft version of the rod in mind. However, as Nash are ultimately concerned with being as compact as possible, there are a further two versions of this Scope Black Ops One Rod Skin available. For each of the rod lengths you can also purchase a rod skin designed for use with big pit carp reels. Most modern rod holdalls and sleeves give you the option of using them with big pit reels, since these are becoming increasingly the norm in the carp fishing world. However, Nash understands that a big pit reel might not always be necessary, especially for anglers fishing with 9ft and 10ft rods. In this case, it feels unnecessary for the rod sleeve to offer big pit capacity. This is why Nash has designed two versions of the sleeve for each of the rod lengths – one which does off big pit capacity and one which does not. This way, anglers who enjoy fishing with big pit reels can do so, with the confidence that they won’t be battling with the zips of their luggage each time they want to pack away their gear. However, it also means that anglers who know they will not be using big pit reels with their Scope rods don’t have to lug around the additional bulk that a big pit rod sleeve has. Regardless of whether you choose the big pit or standard version of the rod sleeve, both can hold a single fully constructed Scope rod (with 50mm guides) and a reel.
The Nash Scope Black Ops One Rod Skin has been built with integrated mesh panelling. This is because Nash understands that the mobile angler will often have to pack away their carp rods at short notice, so might often be packing away wet rods. These mesh panels ensure that moisture can escape from the skin easily, preventing degradation and mould build up over time. The rod skin also boasts 5000mm 600D fabric, which is completely waterproof. This combination of waterproof fabric and breathable panels gives you a great all round setup which keeps your rod dry and protected from the elements. To make transportation easy, the sleeve has been fitted with luxurious suede handles. These make carrying the rod sleeve between swims extremely comfortable. Heavy duty zips also ensure that opening and sealing the Scope Black Ops One Rod Skin is hassle free. This skin can be used in conjunction with the Black Ops Quiver, too.
