The first thing you’ll notice about the Sonik S4 Boat Rod is its highly responsive blank. Offering a forgiving tip action, ensuring that the blows of the most aggressive fish in the strongest of currents are well cushioned, the blank has a progressive load and a powerful butt section. This ensures that you can easily control diving fish, enabling you to capitalise on every single take. The reason why the blank on this rod is so impressive is because of its top end construction, and the Sonik S4 Boat Rod is manufactured for high modulus carbon fibre.
There are three 7ft 6inch models in the range, as well as an additional 10ft uptide rod. The uptide rod is rated between 6oz and 10oz and, as the name suggests, is perfect for all your uptide lure fishing needs. The three 7ft 6inch models are versatile boat fishing tools and each boasts a different rating that enables you to get the most from your angling. The first of these rods offers a 12lb to 20lb rating, making it ideal for tackling the smaller fish that patrol the UK’s waters. The mid range rod is rated between 20lb and 30lb, which is ideal for all your intermediate boat fishing. The final rod in the range is rated between 30lb and 50lb, and this rod is also fitted with a gimbal fitting – ideal for anglers who prefer the trolling style of fishing.
