Korda Rig Safe, After spending a small kings ransom on your chosen terminal tackle hooks and hook length materials and then spending hours of your precious time tying Excalibur the rigs that will hopefully catch and land you a PB. You are then left with the dilemma of how to safely store and transport what can only be described as the most critical part of your set up to the bank without any damage or harm coming to the hook or the rig itself. Over the years many rig wallets have been produced but the modern carp angler required something just that little bit more sophisticated. To resolve this problem those noted rig enthusiasts (or rig tarts) at Korda have released the optimum solution to the problem in the Korda Rig Safe. The Rig Safe is manufactured from an extremely robust ABS plastic and finished in a mandatory Military green, which weve all become accustomed to when it comes to any and all things carpie. This twin compartment folding storage system features secure locking latches positioned 40mm from either end and moulded hinges that pivot on a machined, stainless steel bar, this not only makes open and closing of the Rig Safe a simple task but it greatly improves the overall strength of the hinges. The top and bottom compartments have been precisely manufactured to create a perfect water tight seal once they are securely locked, creating the perfect storage unit for all weathers. Upon opening the Rig Safe you will see two distinctive storage areas. The first has a partitioned hook up bar at either end and will safely store a maximum of 32 rigs to a maximum length of 140mm (5.5 inches) or alternatively 16 rigs of 275mm (10.5 inches) The second section has one partitioned hook up bar and will safely store 16 rigs to a maximum length of 280mm (11 inches). At the opposite end you have three flip top storage compartment that are designed to allow safe storage of rig pins and other small terminal items. To finish off both storage areas, you have a high density foam pin board which enables the rig to be secured in place by using one of the 50 branded Korda Rig Pins that are supplied. The Rig Safe is also ideal for keeping the boom sections of hinged stiff rigs perfectly straight by using two pins to secure to the foam. Another nice touch is the addition in the original design of an embossed metric and imperial tape measure on the top lid of the Rig Safe, this allows the angler to record and monitor the length of his rig used at any given time All in all this is a versatile method of rig storage that should last a lifetime. Structurally, The Korda Rig Store is the strongest rig storage system I have used myself. I found all catches and hinges virtually unbreakable but time will tell. Would I recommend the Rig Safe to another angler? Oh yeah! With enough storage space to satisfy the needs of even the biggest of rig tarts, the Korda Rig Store is simply a must have piece of kit.
