If you’re an angler who regularly heads down to the bank short days sessions and quick overnighters but who also enjoys a longer carp fishing session when possible, then you will love this new product from Trakker. After all, if you’ve already invested in a top notch brolly system for all your short session angling then, more often than not, the last thing you want to do is reinvest in a (potentially more expensive) one or two man shelter which won’t get nearly as much use. This Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds without breaking the bank. In its most basic terms, this Utility Front acts as an extension for your Trakker Tempest Brolly system, virtually doubling the interior space of the brolly for your comfort and ensuring that you can be as versatile as you like in your carp angling.

The Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front gives you tonnes of additional internal space, which you can use in whichever way you choose in order to make the most of your time on the bank. In practise, the Trakker team enjoyed using their brolly as a multi-compartmental system, pushing their bedchair right to the back of their system (as they normally would) and using the front space in the brolly itself for all their most valuable luggage items. They then used the utility front section of the brolly as its own independent work space, setting up their day chair, tackle box and rigging station, and storing all of their cooking equipment. They also found that this was an excellent way to keep damp clothes (such as waders) or tackle items out of the sleeping section of the bivvy, reducing the risk of condensation build up on cold nights.

This is only one possible way of using the Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front. You can also position your bedchair length-ways down the brolly. This opens up a huge amount of side space along the bivvy, giving you maximum storage space for all your gear whilst you’re on a long carp fishing session. This Utility Front is also able to transform your one-man brolly into a complete two-man shelter. By placing both bedchairs along either side of the brolly, you able to maximise the space between them in order to store all your most vital carp fishing tackle. This is perfect for those times when you’re fishing with a friend out of a huge continental swim or for when you’re joined on the UK banks by a family member.

If you’re the owner of a Trakker Insect Panel then you’ll already be more than familiar with the method used to attach this front. You simply attach two of the clips to either side of the central boss and then attach a further two clips on the side poles of the brolly. The entire rear of the Utility Front is elasticated in the gator style. You can pull this down and peg it into the ground, covering the brolly in its shroud. This front is tensioned via the use of a front tension strap, a front rib, and internal tensioning poles, providing the bivvy with its structure. The front of the Utility Front is simply pegged out, too, using the T-pegs provided with the system.

The Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front is fitted with two Velcro rod straps, which feature either side of the door, and the door itself is operated via the use of heavy-duty dual-zip. This allows you to use the door in a letter box fashion, which is ideal on those days when you want to enjoy both the shelter from your system and a view over your rods. By removing the solid infill panel you can reveal an internal mosquito mesh vent, which is ideal for use in the hot and stuffy summer months.
