In this third blog post I’m going to be focussing on the new products that are being added to the already popular range of Nash sleep systems. Nash Indulgence Sleep System Air Shroud
The Nash indulgence Air shroud is part of the excellent new Sleep System range, it is 100% waterproof, extremely warm and offers a new dimension for anglers who fish over night!
It has been designed to be used as a standard bedchair/sleeping bag cover, to add extra warmth in the really cold months and to (as the name suggests) protect your sleeping bag, taking the worst of the conditions. It can also be used by those anglers who like to fish under the stars and who don’t use a bivvy or a brolly.
The cover is 100% waterproof… how do we know this? Because for the entirety of the tradeshow it’s had a constant stream of water running over it, as you can see in the pictures below. The fact that Nash have set this product up and displayed it in such way, shows the confidence they have in it.
At the end of the day, I know it’s only a sleeping bag cover, but it has to be one of, if not the best available!

Likes It’s super waterproof and one of the best bag shrouds I’ve seen! It can be used by those anglers who like to fish under the stars, without a bivvy, with 100% faith.
Dislikes I’m struggling to find any!
Nash Indulgence Airframe Sleep System
The indulgence range needs very little introduction, the name ‘indulgence’ is a name that will be familiar with many Carp anglers and ever since it hit the market a few years back it has gone from strength to strength.
New for this year is the fantastic new Airframe Sleep System, which seems to me, to be the pinnacle of the range, the product that all those years of production, development and testing where leading up to, it is simply… awesome!
The options this beauty offers has to be seen to be believed and rather than trying to explain them all myself, I will let the great man himself do the talking…
‘Its unbelievable to think its been three years since I started thinking about the next generation of sleep system and talking to my design team and manufactures. It’s been a hard journey I can tell you and I don’t think I’ve ever done so much testing on a product – actually, I doubt if anyone else has! For those of you who used to read my "Thoughts from an Essex Monastery" in Carpworld magazine you may remember I fished through the winter of 2011/2012, week in, week out, November to March. That wasn't about the carp fishing, but rather to test our new beds and to get the insulation levels right; and it wasn't about how much, it was more about how little - I was cooking ! I was trying to reduce the level of insulation and find a reasonable balance, but I still think its too hot! My unique idea of the body baffles turns insulation, and how much you need, upside down.
So, why would you buy a new Indulgence Airframe Sleep System? I think we have massively lifted the bar on bed comfort because the key focus hasn't been so much about winter insulation – which trust me is absolutely sorted – but rather about keeping comfortable from Spring to Autumn, the time when most fish their hardest. I will give you an example - throughout this red hot summer and up until a couple of weeks ago I was fishing with the mattress removed, but I just fitted the Airframe Underlay over the mesh base. I had no duvet, but instead used the Airshield Shroud – which isn't only a waterproof shroud, but rather an insulated blanket. Its those bloody mosquitoes which do my head in! I don’t want to fish in a mesh capsule, I want to fish under a brolly or the stars. You can spray up, but just as you doze off one of the bloody things buzzes in your ear. You cant bury your head in your sleeping bag (or in the case of a Sleep System under the duvet) as you will melt from the heat, so the new shroud is bob on. We also designed it to take a bankstick, so it becomes your house! No bivvy or brolly required.

All in all the new Nash Indulgence Airframe Sleep System is a very exciting range and I look forward to seeing it in all the Angling Direct stores!

Nash Indulgence Luxury Pillow
