Daiwa Tournament Rods
Designed with surf casting from the Great British beaches, these Tournament Surf Multiplier rods from Daiwa represent a new era in British sea fishing. These are the newest rods in the Tournament Surf range and have been completely redesigned to ensure that they outperform every other offering on the market throughout their lifespan. Fitted with a number of impressive top end Daiwa technologies, as you will have come to expect from the brand, these rods have also undergone field testing by Paul Kerry. A legend amongst beach anglers, Paul Kerry has personally fine tuned the design of these rods so they meet his incredibly high expectations. Uniquely, these rods feature a parallel handle – allowing you to place your own sliding reel seat in place to optimise the rod for your fishing technique.
Another of the unique features of these Tournament Surf Multiplier rods is its equal length assembly. These means that you can break the rod down into piece of equal length for ease of transport, ensuring you’re never left with the awkward situation of having one rod piece that is slightly too long for your holdall. The rod blanks are manufactured from high-grade Super MSG, ensuring they give you the kind of action that you require to power through the surf. A compound taper on the rod also ensures that the high grade carbon blank blends seamlessly into the fibre glass tip. On many rods, this would be a significant area of weakness, but the smooth transitioning of compounds ensures that you’re at little risk of damaging your rod in this location.
The blank has been fitted with hard Fuji BNHG guides as well as a shock ring. Hardwearing and heavy duty, these guides are highly resistant to the corrosion that continued saltwater use can cause and are therefore ideal for use on this beach rod.
