Fishing Line is an essential item to all disciplines of fishing and is one of the most relied upon bits of kit an angler can own. More often than not if you lose a fish as you’re reeling in, it will be because of a faulty line rather than your angling technique, so it is vital you have a superior sea fishing line on you.

There are three main types of line to look out for; braid, monofilament and fluorocarbon. Braid is mostly used by shoreline anglers whereas the other types of line can be used across most sea fishing techniques. Line strength and colour are also worth considering when picking lines and choice are often filtered by your target species, sea conditions and your techniques. What Equipment Do You NEED to Start Sea or Beach Fishing?

Beginners Guide to Line and Braid

Like all sea fishing tackle, the sea fishing line needs to be able to withstand being submerged in saltwater for extended periods of time without disintegrating. For this reason, sea fishing line manufacturers face a unique challenge when making their products to withstand the highly corrosive nature of saltwater.

That’s why we only stock high quality lines with brands like Berkley and Daiwa in our range, you can be confident that whichever line you choose will perform to the maximum. We also stock sea fishing lines from Gardner and Shimano.
