Depending on the angler, most fly fishing will be short sessions at the bank and so you are less likely to cook a fry up like most carp anglers. (But if you are then check out the full cooking range!) The engaging, water-deep style of fly angling leaves anglers hungry more for the catch than for nutrients.
However, it is important to keep yourself hydrated especially during the fly fishing season where the sun is shining bright and the air is warmer. Although you are spending the day in your waders in the water, you need to drink up fluids to keep you going when at the bank. We stock a range of cups, mugs and flasks to make sure you can have a beverage whilst you wait for a bite on your match pole.
Nothing quite beats a hot brew, whether it be tea, coffee or even hot chocolate! When the wind picks up it only takes a cup of a hot beverage to warm you back up again! Flasks are a great way of maintaining the hot goodness that is easy to access when sitting on your fishing chair. The Yellowstone Line of stainless steel flasks is perfect for a hot soup or quite the opposite of ice-cold juice, perfect in the warmer months when you need to stay cool and keep hydrated.
These flasks come with its own steel cup but for some anglers, they prefer to slurp from a brew mug! We stock some here in our Fly Fishing cooking selection with the Angling Direct brands logo! The Angling Direct Mugs are great for the average-sized brew, noodle pack or soup and is finished with the AD emblem so is perfect for our fans!
Fly fishing keeps your toes submerged in water so you might not need a whole fishing cooking set but if you are unsure give our customer services a call or give the Angling Direct Blog a read!
