Trakker Fishing Tackle

Trakker Products, as we know it today, was set up in the early 1990s, but in its original incarnation it was known as Rainbow Angling Supplies – a Sheffield based company born out of the closure of the steel industry in the 1980s. Originally the company produced not for itself but rather supplied bespoke products to some of the well known tackle companies from the time, many of which are still around today. When the dawn of China imports arrived in the 1990s, and the tackle companies began outsourcing their production to overseas industries, the company changed direction and broke into the emerging carp fishing market.

Initially it produced luggage items, however after making connections with another small tackle company Trakker Products began bivvy production and distribution direct to trade. The popularity of this bivvy sky-rocketed and the company was forced to double its workforce to cope with the demand. Super-light and pram-hood versions of this initial bivvy were produced shortly after, and again demand for the products was incredible. Versions of these initial products are still available to buy today, albeit upgraded and rebranded.

Clearly Trakker are a market driven company, focussing on the needs of the angler. The products are all designed and produced in the UK as a direct response to the growing Chinese market, and the company is committed to producing high-quality products on home soil.

Today it is still focussed on producing top quality, innovative shelters, luggage, chairs, beds, and barrows – essentially everything you need with you to make your carp fishing experience comfortable and relaxing. It’s this range of practical products and accessories which have firmly established the brand in the carp fishing industry. The design team work diligently to make sure the product you receive is not only high quality but also looks good. All Trakker products are rigorously tested against the elements to make sure they can withstand even the harshest conditions.

Its products are designed with the serious angler in mind, and as such are built to last. This may mean that their products are not the cheapest on the market, but it is surely worth paying a little extra for the best products in the carp fishing industry. The company prides itself on using top quality materials over the cheaper alternatives. Trakker believes it is worth investing in the best. Its products are now used by anglers across the discipline, with many in the predator fishing community having taken a shine to the innovative and driven brand.

Innovation and design excellence have always been at the heart of Trakker Products ethos. It is committed to pushing the boundaries of design in order to create a product that is not only practical but stylish, and will make you the envy of all the other anglers on the bank. The high focus on design means that many products will offer additional integrated features that other brands do not offer. The push for innovation means that you will always be one step ahead of the game and its catalogue is rotated and updated regularly to ensure that you have the most up-to-date equipment on the market.

The carp industry surely must thank the day that Trakker Products founder Carl Drabble was made redundant as it allowed him to turn a lifelong hobby into a career.
