This Bob James Centrepin is no different and, as with all bespoke J W Youngs products, it comes supplied with a certificate of authenticity to prove its manufacturing credentials.

The Bob James Centrepin has been specifically designed with Wallis casting in mind. As such this reel has not been fitted with a line guard, the use of which would be hazardous with this cast. Wallis casting is one of the more technically challenging casting methods for coarse fishing on the UK’s rivers, so having a purpose built reel makes this difficult task somewhat easier to get to grips with. If you’re a fan of the Wallis cast, or you’re simply trying to develop your coarse angling abilities, then this is the ideal reel for you. This reel has also been designed to be used with lines in excess of 4lb or 5lb. This means this is a reel that is better suited to the slightly heavier duty work on the coarse spectrum.

Two ball bearings ensure that this reel is incredibly smooth to use – a vital feature when you’re trying to master a difficult casting style, and the click check complements this setup to ensure you can fish with complete confidence.
