Description
Shimano Navi XTB Reel,
The new Navi XT-B is radically different to the former version. The newly designed lightweight XT7 body is finished with brushed metal side plating, giving it a subtle but high end finish to match its performance.
With a Cold Forged aluminium AR-C spool and Aero Wrap II line lay, the Navi certainly delivers excellent casting performance. A newly designed alloy power handle maximises cranking power, and together with Shimano Baitrunner spool II makes this reel a must have for the modern day Carp angler. Automatic bail closure is another improvement of this new model.
The Navi XT-B is set to become the first choice for specimen anglers who want Shimano Big Pit performance combined with market leading affordability.
Dyna-Balance: Reduces reel wobble and allows produces ultra-smooth performance
Power Roller: Significantly reduces line twist during the retrieve and is a big advantage when using thin mono and braid
Super stopper II: With the reel set in anti-reverse mode you'll find zero free-play on the handle. Unerringly positive every time, its practical benefits include micro increment settings of quiver tips or specialist bite indicators and faster hook setting.
AR-C Spool: A spool design with a V-shape spool lip ensuring that the line comes off the reel in smaller loops for further and more accurate casting. The AR-C spool will minimise the risk of backlash.
Easy Maintenance: An easy and efficient way to keep your reel working at optimum performance. This feature enables direct lubrication of the reel's inner workings - without having to take it apart. A small oil lubrication port can be found on each of the S-system reels which, when removed, enables you to apply manufacturer approved lubricants to the inside mechanism
Floating Shaft II: The key friction area on most fixed spool reels is where the spool drive shaft meets the pinion. Shimano designers have overcome this by reducing a large percentage of surface area contact, and incorporating bearings on either side of the shaft. The resultant design leaves the shaft in a "floating" position, considerably improving efficiency and longevity
Hypergear: This precision-engineered main gear transmits more power from the handle to the rotor. Designed to exacting tolerances, it requires less effort but returns more retrieve/playing torque with vastly reduced component wear. In fact, all reels offer a breath taking 90.3% efficiency, which makes them not only feel great, but in years to come they'll still be quietly purring
Baitrunner Spool II: Finetuning of the Baitrunner Spool functionality. Both the small drag setting and the big free spool knob now work independently. An improved user friendly handling is the result.
