If you’re in the market for a light action lure fishing reel for all your light lure work then you need look no further. This Addiction Micro Cast from SPRO is the ideal option for all your light lure work and is available in either 2000 or 3000 size – depending on you target fish. Both sizes offer the same great features and at only 266g and 270g (respectively) these reels will balance well on a light lure rod to give you all the performance qualities the modern lure angler requires.
The SPRO Addiction Micro Cast reel is an exceptionally smooth performer, thanks in part to the nine ball bearings that are at work in the reel. These significantly reduce the friction experienced within the body of the reel, both improving the performance quality of the reel and the reel’s lifespan. The reel is fitted with an especially designed shallow spool which is perfect for holding the kinds of delicate line and braid you require for light lure fishing. Fitted with a line clip, for precision casting, the spool also offers S-curve oscillation for perfect line lay. The reel features a twist-resistant line roller hich has been coated with titanium. This provides additional durability to both the line and the roller, and it works against the incising of the line on the roller.
The SPRO Addiction Mirco Cast features a minutely adjustable drag which operates on a multi-disc system. This gives you smooth and consistent drag that is vital for reducing the chance of hookpulls and lost fish. Both the body and the rotor on the reel have been constructed from hardwearing graphite, which helps towards maintaining the consistently low weight of the reel. This rotor has the additional benefit of having been computer balanced, providing impeccable performance even when under pressure. The handle of the reel has been machined from aluminium and comes fitted with a rubber handle knob, capable of providing the kind of power and grip you require for light lure work. The reel has a 6:1 gearing, too, which is ideal for landing your fish with speed and confidence.
