The Aqua M3 Bivvy is the ultimate single skin three rib bivvy that is guaranteed to see you through your angling year. It is manufactured from Aqua’s specialist Aquatexx material, which has been designed with angling bivvies in mind. This M3 features the highest grade Aquatexx that Aqua has ever produced, making this Aqua’s most waterproof bivvy to date. In fact, its hydrostatic head rating is a whopping 14,000mm. This is a greater waterproof rating than most top end floatation suits, so you can be confident that this bivvy is going to keep you dry even in the most torrential downpours. It has a footprint of 2,750mm wide by 2,250mm deep. This makes it a roomy bivvy, which has more than enough room for you, your bedchair, and all your essential tackle equipment. However, it is also a compact enough package that can fit in even the tightest of swims, ensuring that you can spend the night in all your favourite locations in order to get those personal best captures. The total weight of the bivvy comes in a 12kg, too. This is remarkably light for a bivvy with this much space in it. The bivvy is 1,400mm tall, too, which ensures that your vision isn’t obstructed in the slightest should you choose to sit inside the bivvy and watch out over you lake whilst you wait for a take on your bite alarms.
The Aqua M3 is packed out with features that make is the most versatile bivvy on the market today and is it ideal for the truly dedicated carp angler. The first of these is the mozzie mesh door and window panels. This makes the bivvy as excellent in the height of summer as it is on a stormy autumn night and it can let through an impressive amount of air flow on even the most humid nights. The door panel is also fitted with two way zips. This is ideal if you suddenly get caught out by a sharp shower and you need to duck inside your bivvy in a hurry, as well as ensuring your ease of exit should you get an early hours scream from your bite alarm. The porch section of the bivvy also ensures that no rain can drip down the main door, potentially entering the bivvy as you do. The Aqua M3 comes supplied with a heavy duty groundsheet and pegs, as well as frame support system to ensure that the bivvy can stand up to the highest winds. It also comes in its own dedicated carry case, for ease of transportation and storage.
To erect your bivvy, first lay out the ground sheet – it has a handy Aqua label to indicate where the door is. Try to position your bivvy with the wind from behind, as this will greatly increase its stability in high winds. The groundsheet also has two hooks attached to it, these should be placed facing downwards. Then place the main body of the M3 in the centre of the ground sheet, opening out the poles as you do so. Simply plug these poles together to create the three ribs of the bivvy. This will be wider than the groundsheet. You then need to attach the two rings on the frame base to the ground sheet, tensioning the frame to ensure its full stability. If you’re not using a groundsheet, you can use the tension strap supplied. Next, all you do is peg the bivvy, pulling the front into place using the groundsheet as a guide. You can then tuck in the draught skirt and affix your porch poles and peak support, as well as the frame support system. To deconstruct your bivvy at the end of a long session you can follow these same steps in reverse. It really is that simple.
