Our Purpose

Fishing has always been more than just a hobby. For many it’s an essential escape from the pressures of modern life. Environmental pressures, reduced access, and barriers that prevent newcomers from getting involved all threaten the future of the sport and that’s why we’re so proud to introduce the Angling Direct Community Fund. This new initiative has been created by Angling Direct and AD Win in collaboration to support grassroots angling projects, and help grow participation in angling of all kinds across the UK.

Community Voting is Now Open

Following an incredible response to this year's AD Community Fund applications, our independent review panel has shortlisted three outstanding projects from each region of the UK.

From 29th June to 31st August, every customer making a purchase in an Angling Direct store will receive a voting token at checkout, giving them the opportunity to support the project they believe will make the biggest difference to their local angling community.

Explore the shortlisted projects for your region below, then visit your nearest Angling Direct store to cast your vote and help decide where Community Fund support is allocated.

Vote in-store today and help shape the future of your local angling community.

How We're Funded

We’re building a dedicated funding pot, with at least 5% of all revenue from our new AD Win competitions website going directly to the AD Community Fund and with the support of additional partnerships and funding efforts, we aim to grow this pot even further for 2026. For the first round of applications a £20,000 funding pot has been created to support impactful community projects. In addition to our existing commitments.
