Our Purpose

Fishing has always been more than just a hobby. For many, it’s a vital escape from the pressures of modern life — a chance to connect with nature, enjoy fresh air, spend time with family, or simply savour the peace of the water. Every angler has their own reasons for casting a line, but we all share that same feeling of freedom, anticipation, and joy.The angling community is built on these shared moments. It brings people together, supports wellbeing, and creates lasting memories. But like our rivers and lakes, the community also faces challenges — from environmental pressures to barriers that prevent more people from discovering the sport we love.

That’s why we created the AD Community Fund: to give back to the angling community, protect the future of fishing, and ensure it thrives for generations to come. This initiative focuses on:Growing participation – encouraging more people to discover angling.

Improving access – making fishing inclusive for everyone.

Protecting fisheries – safeguarding venues and fish stocks for the future.

And this is just the beginning. From 2026, the Fund will open for grant applications, giving charities, fishing clubs, and communities the opportunity to apply for financial support to deliver impactful projects that align with our mission.Together, we can protect what we love, empower anglers of today, and inspire those of tomorrow.

How We're Funded

We’re building a dedicated funding pot, with at least 5% of all revenue from our new AD Win competitions website going directly to the AD Community Fund and with the support of additional partnerships and funding efforts, we aim to grow this pot even further for 2026.

Our Core Funding Themes
