Atomic Chod Tool

Atomic Tackle Chodda Tool, The Chod Tool has been designed to make it as easy as possible to create the curve in the hooklink without having to sit and manipulate the stiff material between finger and thumb. Some of the chod hooklink materials are easier than others to manipulate into the required curve, but some anglers still find it difficult to get everything perfect. The Chod Tool is in essence a J shaped tool with a small slider fitted to the handle. The upper curved section of the tool has a groove running along it up to the start of the slider rail. Using the Chod Tool is simplicity itself. You take your constructed chod rig and place the hook over the end of the curved section. Making sure that the hooklink material runs along the groove, place the ring of the swivel onto the peg on the slider and slide down to tension the hooklink. Put the kettle on and once the kettle starts to boil, hold the chod tool & rig over the steam to heat the hooklink up. After 10 seconds or so, remove the tool from the steam and leave to cool for a couple of minutes (or you could dip the tool & hooklink into cold water) so the hooklink material stabilises. Remove the hooklink by releasing the tension on the slider and your chod rig hooklink has a curve placed in to it that will turn effectively in the fish's mouth. It is as easy as that!
