The Daiwa Theory SP is constructed using the Hardbodyz method. This is a specialised metal alloy that Daiwa has designed to not only be hardwearing but also incredibly lightweight – giving you a technological advantage on the bank too. The Theory SP is fitted with Daiwa’s Digigear technology. This is a digital gearing system which ensures that the gears mesh with precision each time. This means that the gearing system is not only more powerful than a traditional machined gear but it is also more durable, as the gears do not undergo any unnecessary friction causing premature wear and tear.

Daiwa has fitted the Theory SP with its Air Rotor system. This is Daiwa’s patented feather light system which significantly reduces the weight of the reel. This means that the reel is under less stress, as the vibration in the rotor is less than other rotor systems made from heavier materials. This also evens out the pressure points on the rotor, adding additional strength and durability – meaning that the rotor has an exceptional lifespan. Air Bail is built from the same exceptional material as Air Rotor and offers protrusion free transferral of the line from the bail wire to the line roller.

The Theory SP reel is fitted with six corrosion resistant ball bearings, to make this Daiwa reel incredibly hardwearing. Quick drag, TwistBuster, and a HIP line clip finish this reel nicely, making it the ideal companion to any dedicated specialist angler.
