This is a nifty little carp reel accessory that can quickly and simply convert any of your Daiwa reels into Bite ‘n’ Run machines.
Bite ‘n’ Run is surely one of the most innovative and groundbreaking technologies to have come out of the angling industry in recent years. Bite ‘n’ Run allows you to leave the reel in a free spool mode, allowing whichever fish takes a liking to your bait to be able to pick up and run with your terminal tackle. This ensures that you get as more reliable hookset with each take. As soon as you want to get into the fish and begin playing it you simply need to flick the Bite ‘n’ Run lever, engaging your pre-set drag for full fish playing fun.
To convert any of your standard Daiwa big pits into a Bite ‘n’ Run machine, simply replace your current drag knob with the Bite ‘n’ Run Convertor. Tension your drag to the level you prefer when playing fish and you’re good to go! When you want the reel to operate in full free spool mode, simply pull the metal lever on the convertor forwards until you see it lock outward. This pulls the convertor off the drag washers, allowing your reel to operate as it would if you were operating a free spool machine. Closing this lever back into the flat position reconnects it with the drag washers, instigating full drag and allowing the reel to perform as normal.
Designed to fit most of Daiwa’s reels, both past and present, this is a useful tool for any carp angler who wants to have maximum versatility on the bank or who simply wants to try the facility of a Bite ‘n’ Run without investing in a completely new reel.
