Based in Brecon, South Wales, Airflo are the market leaders in fly line manufacturing, producing new and technologically advanced fly lines with the best possible materials. All Airflo fly lines are designed in house with the help of our Pro Staff world over - its aim is to produce a selection of fly lines which will help all anglers put fish on the bank, with ease.
Airflo is the world's leading manufacturer of fly lines and continues to innovate with new products. It is a company that is always looking for ways to improve fly line performance. It is responsible for developing a series of innovations unparalleled by any other line manufacturer. Whilst Airflo may not have invented the fly line, innovation has been a keystone at every stage in its development of a range of fly tackle products. Airflo were the originators of Polyurethane coatings, creating the first welded loops, developing low stretch cores and even the worlds first density compensated fly lines.
More recently, the brand has developed an advanced range of fly-lines with ridged coatings that reduce surface friction and improve shootability - each breakthrough offering a truly tangible improvement, not some invisible technology developed in the minds of the marketers. New advanced in airflo’s material technology has allowed them to make a line that floats better and shoots further than many other lines on the market. Airflo use an impressive Super DRI compound in its lines, which is a base within all its lines rather than an additive that will leak or degrade with us. Super Dri uses nano technology to repel water, dirt, and other contaminants that stick to normal fly lines. The two main properties that make the technology perform so well is the super dri lines has a low density and more buoyancy to help the line float higher and therefore recover faster.
'Green' or 'Environmentally Friendly' is something all fishing companies like to claim, and whilst we are more than happy to make you aware that Airflo coatings are kinder to the environment, it was originally the search for a polymer that didn't leach solvents, was unaffected by UV and ultimately just lasted longer that lead us to pursue Polyurethane as an alternative to solvent-based PVC.
Other than Aiflo fly lines, the brand also other a range of tackle to meet fly fishing needs, from an Airflo boat seat to Airflo fly box to store your tackle. The company also help new anglers to the sport with its Airflo fly fishing kit. This kit includes one of the Airflo fly rods, one of the Airflo fly reels, airflo lines and more to get you started at the bank. The Airflo reel is perfectly balanced with the partnered Airflo rods in these kits to maximise the performance and ease of use for anglers wanting to test out fly fishing.
Airflo also kits you out for the longer or overnight sessions with the Aiflo bivvy and you can select attire from the Airflo waders, Airflo outlander mesh vest or Airflo fishing jacket.
Airflo is part of the BVG Airflo Group, working alongside two other fishing tackle businesses; Fishtec and Total Fishing Gear.
