Carp Porter are the only tackle company who specialise in carp barrows, or carp trolleys, and with twenty-five years’ experience in the field many anglers believe Prestige Engineering, Carp Porters creators, manufacture the best carp barrows available on the market.

Carp Porter barrows are designed and built in the Prestige Engineering facility in Basildon, England, which generally means getting hold of spare parts such as wheels is easier than overseas manufacturers.

The Carp Porter MK2 Barrow is one of the brands original designs and subsequently, its best-selling trolley in the range, Terry Hearn was an original Carp Porter tester and is pictured with the MK2 in a vintage Carp Porter catalogue.

Prestige Carp Porter are constantly adjusting and improving its range of fishing barrows, over the years there have been many instalments; the MK2 Fat Boy which offers a stronger frame and sturdier heavy-duty wheel, and the Big Boy Barrow which, as the name suggests, is bigger in size than the MK2 and champions a Triporter – three wheel – design.

In recent years Carp Porter have been able to offer electric conversion to its fishing trolleys, making navigating more challenging off-piste trips to your chosen swim far easier than before, with an electric motor fitted to the front wheel uphill stretches are a walk in the park.

A considerable benefit to equipping yourself with a Carp Porter barrow, aside from making trips to and from the car easier, is how modifiable they are, if you are a cost-conscious angler the best-selling MK2 is probably a good place to start but there is nothing stopping you from upgrading your trolley in the future. New wheels, side bars, bags and accessories, handles, multi-use waterproof covers and even an electric motor are all purchasable upgrades, the quality of Carp Porter barrows mean you could construct your perfect barrow over the course of a decade and it would still function as if it were brand new.
