Greys XF2 Flyfishing Rods
If you’re looking for an adaptable and all-round fly fishing rod then you need look no further than the XF2 Fly series from Greys. This is the single handed rod in the series and it comes in 10ft with a #7 AFTM rating. Whether you’re new to fly fishing or you’ve been fly fishing your whole life then this is the ideal rod for you and it excels in a variety of fly fishing situations.
This rod is manufactured to Greys’ typically high standards and it offers a smooth performing and powerful blank. This enables the rod to perform with a medium fast action, focussed in the mid and tip section of the rod. It also ensures that the rod can offer a fast recovery. Not only does this help with casting accuracy but it also enables you to be able to retrieve with incredible speed when the need arises. The butt section of the rod is constructed from a composite cork material and features triple A grade cork in the handle. This ensures that the rod has the kind of fight in it that you require to tackle aggressive fish. The blank is finished in a stunning glossy olive colour, with matching whippings and classy gold highlights. In short, this is a rod that looks as good as it feels.
The furnishings on the rod are as good looking as the rod itself and it boasts a two part alloy reel seat. This reel seat has been purpose designed by the engineers at Greys to ensure that your reel stays in perfect alignment with your guides and it is fitted with double uplocking screws. The line guides on the rod begin with two lined stripping guides, move up the rod with nine chrome snake intermediate guides, and is finished with a hayfork tip ring.
