Harrison Aviator Spod Rod,
Like all Harrison rods, the blanks are rolled and the rod built in our factory in the UK for total control of quality and design. This Spod rod is designed to accompany the Aviator 12’6 3 1/2lb Plus rod so it will comfortably throw a large spod as far as you can fish. We rate it at 4 1/2lb Test curve.
The blank design is based on our thin layer technology with lightweight carbon scrims for strength and lightness on the inside of high modulus zero axis carbon. All covered with a surface layer of 1k woven carbon, from tip to butt. This design has proven to offer the best performance both when new and after years of us.
The standard rod is fitted with rugged Kigan 3d guides lined with Zirconia inserts for low friction and hard wear. These are ideal for the heavy duty work of a long range spod rod and can be used with any type of line, mono or braid. We have also added whippings at 12 inch intervals on the butt to allow the rod to also be used as a marker.
