The first thing you’ll notice when comparing this bivvy to the original is its new two rib design. This change has been made in order to lighten the overall weight of the bivvy and it now tips the scales at a mere 7kg. This certainly makes it one of the lightest two man options on the market today and it is sure to make you two man session fishing a breeze. The JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy is even supplied in its own hard wearing carry bag, which makes transporting it between boot and bank a doddle. You can simply sling this bivvy on your barrow with the rest of your gear and you’ll get it down to the bank in no time at all – it really is that simple.
What’s more, thanks again to the two rib structure, the JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy can be erected in less than three minutes. This is ideal for the angler who doesn’t want to waste time with setting up on the bank and it is essential for those days when you to get to the water in the middle of a rain storm and you want to get your gear (and yourself) under shelter as quickly as possible. The strong 210 denier oxford nylon has been PU coated in order to ensure that it can off a hydrostatic head of 5,000mm. This ensures that the JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy is exceptionally waterproof, so you can hit the bank in even the most miserable of conditions in the full confidence that you’ll be keeping bone dry in your bivvy. To further improve its waterproof credentials, the JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy has been double tape sealed throughout. This is because the seams of a product are often the most liable to leakage due to the countless holes created in the stitching process. Tape sealing the seams ensures that they are every bit as waterproof as the main body of the fabric and double taping them adds additional durability, preventing the bivvy against premature wear and tear.
The front door of the JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy has been fitted with high quality zippers, ensuring that it is incredibly easy to open and close. The days of wrestling with zips in the middle of the night whilst trying to respond to the scream of a bite alarm are long gone when you invest in the JRC Contact Two Man Bivvy! This front door comes with three infill options. The first of these is the classic solid green infill, which provides privacy as well as being completely waterproof. The second option is a mosquito mesh. This is ideal in the hot summer months when you want to enjoy a cooling breeze through your bivvy whilst still ensuring that you are protected from any nasty bug bites. The final option is a clear window. Waterproof, like the solid green infill, this window allows light into the bivvy and it is ideal when the rain is bucketing down in the middle of the day but you still want to be able to keep an eye on your carp rods.
