However, the brand is well aware that angling on the continent is not the same as fishing in the UK, so when it turned its attention to manufacturing top end match tackle for the UK market it knew it couldn’t simply rebrand its European tackle range. This Rive R-CM6 Commercial Match Rod is available in three different sizes, so you can be versatile with your angling and tackle a wide range of commercial venues using a variety of tactics. The smallest rod is the range is a 10ft (approximately 3m) option. This is the low powered rod in the range which has been purpose designed for targeting some of the UK’s smaller commercial fish, including F1s and silver fish. This rod performs best when you’re using it to cast between 3g and 10g. A two section rod, the 10ft R-CM6 offers a transported length of 1.57m and a total weight of 135g. This not only makes it easy to transport to and form the bank but it also makes it the ideal rod for casting with the pellet waggler, when you need to hold the rod at all times to ensure that you’re able to respond to each take with confidence. This rod has been fitted with 11 line guides, ensuring flawless line transmission along the rod with each and every cast.

The next size up in the R-CM6 range is an 11ft (3.3m) option. As with the 10ft rod, this is a two section rod and it boasts everything that you would come to expect from a top quality Rive rod in terms of design and manufacture. This is the mid powered rod in the range, which has been designed to cast between 4g and 12g weights with confidence. This is low powered enough that it is still able to handle the smaller and more delicate fish without harming them, whilst holding a reserve to allow you to contend with mid-sized fish too. This rod has a transport length of 1.7m and a total weight of 145g – again ensuring that you can fish using the popular waggler tactic with confidence. It has 12 line guides to help you cast with supreme accuracy, time after time.

The final rod in the range is also the longest, coming in at 12ft (approximately 3.6m). This rod is ideal for the angler who wants to waggler fish at a greater distance and it has an optimal casting range of 5g to 12g. This is very similar to the 11ft option, ensuring that you have the muscle to cope with larger fish as well as the delicacy to register smaller bits, and the rod only tips the scales at 150g. This rod has a transport length of 1.85m and, as with all three rods in the range, it comes as a two piece outfit. This rod has 13 line guides, which are essential for ensuring that you can fish with a pellet waggler with confidence, even further out into the water.
