Rod Hutchinson Cabrio Cookhouse
If you’ve been carp fishing since the 1980s then chances are you’ll be more than familiar with Rod Hutchinson. He, along with a handful of other British anglers, was responsible for much of the carp fishing revolution which occurred in the late 1970s and early 1980s. His name remains synonymous with carp fishing excellence to this day and you can be confident than any product created under his name is high quality and highly practical. This Rod Hutching Cabrio Cookhouse is no different.
As angling continues to grow you’ll find that greater numbers of anglers choose to spend their holidays carp fishing – either in the UK or abroad. As such, the demand for larger structures in which they can store cooking equipment and bankside items has grown – yet few tackle companies adequately cater for the needs of these anglers. This is where the Rod Hutchinson Cabrio Cookhouse comes in. Offering a huge amount of room, you can comfortably store your fridge, cooking equipment, tables and chairs in this shelter. The Cabrio Cookhouse has a 220cm x 150cm footprint, which means there is more than enough space for all your long-session bankside accessories. What’s more, the cookhouse also has a 220cm high roof. This is well over 7ft and it means that even the tallest angler can stand completely upright – ideal for when the weather is grim and you want to stand without wearing your waterproofs.
The Rod Hutchinson Cabrio Cookhouse comes in a waterproof polyester material which offers a hydrostatic head rating of 10,000mm. Not only this but the shelter also features taped seams throughout. The combination of the two means that this is a completely waterproof shelter that can more than withstand the most intensive deluge. The heavy duty groundsheet is manufactured from high quality PVC and it ensures that no damp can enter the shelter from the ground, too. This is ideal if you find yourself arriving on a swim after a heavy downpour as it provides you with somewhere to store your gear well away from any damp. Heavy duty crash zips make it extremely easy to enter or exit the shelter, should you be disturbed by cry from your bite alarm or startled by a sudden rain storm.
The Rod Hutchinson Cabrio Cookhouse has a large main door. This can be rolled up and stowed neatly out of the way, which is ideal if you’re using the Cabrio Cookhouse as a social shelter. It is also ideal if you’re cooking in the Cabrio and you want to ensure that you’re getting adequate airflow. The Cabrio Cookhouse also has a rear window, which comes with a number of infill options. The first of these is a mozzie mesh infill. This is ideal if you’re fishing in the height of summer and you want to ensure that you can enjoy a comfortable breeze through the shelter without inviting nasty mosquitoes and gnats. The second option is a fully winterised clear PVC window. Like the mozzie mesh, this allows a generous amount of light into the shelter. However, unlike the mozzie mesh, it is completely waterproof and wind resistant, ensuring that you remain completely protected from the elements. This is the ideal angling solution for all your long cold weather sessions. It also comes with a zip down blind in the classic solid green colour.
The Rod Hutchinson Cabrio Cookhouse comes supplied in a 600 denier carryall. This is an extremely heavy duty carryall option, to ensure that this bivvy remains protected in transit and storage. It also comes supplied with guy ropes and six heavy duty pegs as standard, allowing you to secure your shelter in all weather conditions.
