The Trotter is a fast tapered, well balanced rod which makes float control on rivers much easier than when using shorter Match type rods. The soft tip section means this rod is suitable for small hooks and light lines, although the fast action means there is plenty of power in the butt which enables it to be used with confidence for larger fish like chub and barbel.
