Originally designed in Japan for competition trout fishing, the Cardiff CI4+ is part of the Lightweight Series, weights only 165g. Built using Shimanos exclusive CI4+ material and featuring the Magnumlite Rotor, it is perfect for European light lure fishing and dropshot techniques using ultra fine lines and is available in a 2000 super shallow spool and 2000 high gear shallow spool models. In addition to the remarkable lightweight feel, this special reel also has an exclusive front drag designed for using with the lightest lines, making it perfect for anglers targeting smaller species. As a final touch of quality and to increase sensitivity the Cardiff has a cork grip reel handle.
