The Sonik AVX is an exceptionally smooth operating reel, thanks to the six stainless steel ball bearings at work in the body of the reel. Stainless steel features heavily in the reel due to its durability and the worm shaft is also constructed from the material to ensure it is able to offer a good service throughout its lifespan. To maintain the light weight of the reel, the body is constructed from a specially designed composite material. This has been chosen for its rigidity as well as its feather weight. The reel has been fitted with Instant Anti-Reverse, which ensures solid hooksets each time, and the Sonik AVX is a front drag reel. The two smaller sizes of the reel offer a 5.1:1 gear ratio and the two larger sizes provide an impressive 5.5:1, ensuring you have maximum fish pulling power.

The handle of the reel is covered in Duplon to give additional grip. The reel comes supplied with two aluminium spools as standard.
