Holiday Fishing (Good Draw vs Bad Draw)

Every year thousands of you travel abroad for a carp fishing holiday on a commercial venue, but your dream trip can end in disappointment if you don’t get it right–so this HolidayFishing Masterclass is designed to help you get the best from your trip.

Most commercial venues have some kind of draw for swims at the start of the trip, and thiscan often be the most important decision that you make all week, as where you choose willoften determine how well your session pans out, as there often isn’t muchchance ofmoving into a different swim on these busy venues–but a lot of that comes down to luck ofthe draw and coming out early.

This Holiday Fishing Masterclass contrasts Korda Koach, Rob Burgess, getting the best drawthat he could have hoped for atGigantica Road Lake, versus Neil Spooner coming out lastand having to make do with whatever swims are left.

The aim is to show you how they both go about targeting their swims to hopefully make themost of the draws they got, and to show just what is possible even if you don’t end up in aswim you particularly fancied.

Rob knows that there are fish in front of him, but he still has to catch them and as the weekprogresses he shows all the little tweaks to his bait and baiting approach that he uses toincrease the regularity of the bites that he is getting, and shows how to really build up agood catch and make the most of what is in front of him.

For Neil things are very different as he knows he isn’t in one of the best pegs, so for him it isall aboutworking with what he has available and trying to produce a few bites, including byswitching spots and tactics if nothing happens on the well known areas that people usuallyfish to in his swim.

This session definitely shows that it isn’t always about catching the most fish, and how justone bite can potentially make it your best holiday ever on these types of waters that arehome to monster carp.
