Whether it is Sea, Carp, Coarse or even a spot of Predator fishing, the sun shining and the t-shirt temperature beckons out anglers across the UK to enjoy some fishing. Daylight hours at their longest, this is the season to land a few impressive catches to your personal bests.
With the warmer weather, bright sunshine (most days!), and water that often carries a lot more colour, means we need to think more about gear, bait, feeding and presentation. Summer fishing comes into two simple categories – the days when the fish want to feed and those when they are decidedly difficult.
Summer angling on the harder days where fish are not wanting to eat and would rather rest in the shade, you need some tackle for surface fishing which can be found within our Summer Specials.
To also help catch stubborn fish, you can try scaling down the size of your hook, diameter of your line and being very careful how much you feed. And remember the evening sessions when the sun is going down or early morning before it rises are usually great times to have a rod in the water.
