Close to the Angel of the North Fishing Lakes, Angling Direct Washington can be found fronting Parsons Road and Havannah Road. Built-in an ex-showroom, this fishing tackle shop offers anglers onsite car parking for visitors. The Washington tackle shop also offers a nearby B&Q store, Co-op and an Aldi, giving you a chance to grab a bite to eat right after browsing the abundant amount of tackle available at the Angling Direct store.

Tony
Tony over at Angling Direct Washington is our pole specialist and qualified coach. As a match angler who fishes for both carp and silver fish, Tony can confidently fish at home on rivers and commercials, with a personal best match weight of 577 lb.
Tony began fishing at 13 years old. He started fishing for roach before moving on to the local club match scene. Soon after winning numerous junior and senior trophies, Tony moved on to the open match circuit. Tony's notable achievements include winning River Wear Championships in 2011 and 2 to 10 finishes in White Acres Festivals. Tony has also held match records at several venues local to Washington, including the first 500lb weight at Oaks Lakes at Sessay.
