The rod is available in two test curves: 3.5lb and 3lb. The 3.5lb TC version of the Defy has a stiffer through-action that puts you in control of the fight with a stubborn carp, while the lighter 3lb test curve has a more forgiving action, lending itself perfectly for playing powerful fish at close range.
Sporting a Fuji DPS reel seat, the rod fits a variety of reels and is finished with a gunsmoke black hood which matches the guides, collars and butt cap. The guides are low friction Zirconia with an anti-frap ring to give you assured confidence when committing to each and every bold cast. The butt ring is 50mm to allow for more control and precision.
