The Westin W3 Powershad Rod is constructed from the Japanese 'TORAY' High Performance Carbon, making the rod blanks incredibly strong yet sensitive. The Powershad is able to help detect any bite and set the hooks thanks to this fast responding rod blank.
The W3 Powershad rods are specially designed for casting with shad lures but work equally well with wobblers, casting from a boat or the shore. To assist with a controlled casting, the rod features LTS ring guides and a SKS reel seat.
For superior action and casting, the rod sports a premium EVA handle that comes with a rubber cork insert. The cork makes the handle lighter whereas the EVA shell of the handle ensures a strong, non-slip grip that is able to endure the demands of predator angling.
Both options of the Powershad rod comes as a 8ft, two section rod but offers two difference actions and casting weights. The first option can a medium action with a casting weight of 7-25g, whereas the second options introduces a medium to heavy action with a casting weight of 15-40g.
